Since the automotive world is an ever-changing landscape, any major milestone a manufacturer hits is probably worth celebrating. Or at least that’s the thought process we imagine Audi had when they realized it’s been a decade since they started building their lauded V10 supercar engine. To memorialize the occasion, they’ve just unveiled the R8 V10 Decennium.
Limited to just 22 examples worldwide, this gorgeous special edition is available in a number of different exterior colors. But our favorite has to be the matte ‘Daytona Gray’ with matte bronze highlights — including both the special milled 20″ wheels and the 5.2-liter FSI engine’s intake manifold. And the whole package is squared off with the addition of carbon fiber side blades and side-view mirror housings. They didn’t overlook the interior, either, adding Alcantara accents and copper-colored stitching to the upholstery and carbon fiber in the door sills. Of course, the star of the show is the V10 engine, with its 620 horsepower and 427.8 lb-ft — which launches the car from 0-62 in just 3.1 seconds and boasts a top speed of 205.7 MPH. Pricing starts at $253,000.
