There is certainly no shortage of high-end luxury and sports cars debuting at the Detroit Auto Show, but it’s time we showcase some innovative technology with the introduction of the Audi Allroad Shooting Brake concept car.

Sure this 2-door sport utility coupe looks beautiful (as do most Audi models these days), but it’s the e-tron quattro technology that’ s really got us excited. In addition to the turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder under the hood, this vehicle has also been equipped with electric motors on either axle. The motors work in conjunction to produce phenomenal results, achieving 123 miles per gallon while still darting to 60 miles per hour in just 4.6 seconds. For harsh road conditions (think snow and dirt) the rear axle motor will automatically activate providing all-wheel drive in those less than optimal driving conditions.
