Auction Block: The Dark Knight Batpod

Hands down, one of the coolest vehicle in all of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy was the Batpod. And what’s even cooler is that, in The Dark Knight – second of the three Batman movies – there were six created that were actually functional vehicles. Now, one of those six is going to auction, thanks to Prop Store. And, guess what? It’s one that was used frequently on set enough that it actually has battle-damage left during filming.

Featuring a custom-made chassis, massive 31-inch Hoosier racing tires, and a Honda 750 engine, this model can be rendered fully-functional, once again, by the addition of a battery, fluids, a fuel tank, and throttle controls – a small price to pay to cruise around like the billionaire playboy and vigilante, Bruce Wayne, himself. Especially when you consider that the hydraulics, radiator, braking system with its controls, and integrated exhaust system are all still intact. With a certificate of authenticity from Warner Brothers Studios, this badass bike is expected to auction for somewhere between $80,000 to $100,000.
