Michael Schumacher is one of the most legendary race car drivers to ever get behind the wheel, and now a major relic from his storied history is up for sale. Speedmaster Cars is selling the first F1 car that Schumacher ever drove: a 1991 Jordan 191 powered by a Cosworth-Ford HB V8 engine.
The car is just one of seven Jordan 191s ever built, and one of two to have been driven by Schumacher — Andrea De Cesaris and Alex Zanardi also had the pleasure of piloting this green beauty. Schumacher ran his first Grand Prix in the car at the 1991 Belgian GP, where he finished seventh. He of course later went on to win a record seven World Drivers’ Championships (a record which has since been tied by Lewis Hamilton). Remarkably, this Jordan 191 remains in good working condition, and it has even been raced at several Goodwood Festivals of Speed in recent years by its former owner. Whoever purchases the car will also receive starting equipment including a preheater, an extensive history file with a certificate of authenticity, a Schumacher signed model car, and the original racing steering wheel in a display case. The price is only available via an application, but you can visit Speedmaster Cars to file an inquiry.
