Truly an off-road machine by every meaning of the word, this backcountry ready Toyota Land Cruiser was built by the legendary Jonathan and Jamie Ward of LA-based ICON 4×4. Now, the ride is slated to hit the auction block here in the near future.

Built upon an original 1970 Toyota FJ40 chassis, the 2008 project received the magic touch – as well as a handful of upgrades – from the good folk over at ICON 4×4. For starters, under the hood is now a 5.7 liter GM RamJet V8 engine with an output of 350 horses and 400 ft/lbs of torque. Additionally, the entire body was hand built from 5052 H32 aluminum and features a Teflon coat and Spruce green Cardinal paint job. The vehicle also boasts a shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive, seats upholstered in OE German marine vinyl, a tow hitch, Jerry can, and spare tire while it cruises atop a set of 17” x 8” Mojave wheels wrapped within BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.
