Auction Block: 2015 MTI Racing Boat

When most obscenely rich folks decide to get a boat, they generally opt for yachts – large and luxurious sleeper ships for relaxing on the high seas. If it were our money, however, we’d probably go for something with a little more oomph, like this 2015 MTI Racing Boat.

While it’s certainly no yacht, it still offers up a good amount of space and luxury. The super boat has 8 Italian leather seats with 5-point restraints, a high-tech air-conditioned cabin marked by custom LED lighting, a Garmin 8200 series navigation system, and a FLIR thermal camera. But, the real highlight of this watercraft can be found elsewhere, in the powerplant. This boat is propelled by dual 1,350 horsepower QC4V Mercury Racing engines (yes, that adds up to 2,700 horsepower overall) which can send it jetting across the water at speeds over 180 MPH. And if you’re wondering what that kind of velocity feels like, you can always turn to the boat’s moniker – Pressure Makes Diamonds – printed on the hull, in the cabin, and inside the engine bay. This impressive watercraft will go up for auction at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction in 2018 with no reserve.
