The original Honda NSX (or Acura NSX as it was known in the States) was the pinnacle of the ‘90s Japanese supercar boom. Conceived as a Ferrari-killer that later influenced the design of the legendary McLaren F1, the NSX was a mid-engine two-seater with exotic looks, racecar handling, and Honda reliability. And this 1992 example that’s up for auction is one of the cleanest and most original examples we’ve seen.
The ‘92 Honda NSX on offer is an RHD example with a 270 hp 3.0L transversely-mounted DOHC V6 engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. With a healthy 92,516 km on the odometer, this car was no garage queen and has seen a bit of use. But you’d never known by the condition it’s in. The car is still sporting its original and brilliant Formula Red paint that practically looks like it just came fresh from the factory, and the tan leather interior also looks nearly new. The car comes with super-detailed work records that show how carefully it’s been maintained over the years, and whoever ends up winning this ride will be inheriting a true ‘90s JDM time capsule. Located in Australia, bidding on this ‘92 Honda NSX is taking place now at Collecting Cars.
