Auction Block: 1990 Land Rover Defender 110 6×6 Camper Overlander

In recent years Land Rover’s much-revered Defender has become an increasingly popular platform for off-roading and overloading conversions. With the Land Rover’s rugged construction and surprisingly versatile platform, the Defender lends itself particularly well to these types of conversions, as thoroughly evidenced by this elaborate and well-optioned 6×6 overlander that’s just popped up for sale.

Based on a 1990 Defender 110, this overloading camper convert is kicked along by a turbocharged, 3.9L, OHV, direct-injection diesel, inline-four engine — the same mill used in the ’86-’91 Isuzu NPR and Chevrolet W4500. With a modified chassis and suspension system, the classic off-roader now rides on half-a-dozen Maxtrac Blindo wheels shod in BF Goodrich KO2 tires. Adorned in Audi’s famous Nardo Grey, the 6×6 sports custom bodywork including one-off front and rear bumpers and dual-spare tires tacked on the back, plus front grille and headlight covers from Terrafirma, which also supplied the build’s steering wheel damper. The revised front-end also gets a WARN winch and top-shelf J.W. Speaker headlights. Inside, the vehicle boasts a custom cabin with built-in shelving and storage. This involved 1990 Land Rover Defender 110 overlanding camper is currently for sale on eBay with a BIN price of $75,250.
