Though it went defunct in the mid-90s, the Jeep Wagoneer was one of the brand’s longest-running and most successful vehicles of all time — having been produced for nearly 30 years straight. However, just because they’re not making them anymore, doesn’t mean that fans of this SUV model are out of luck, as there are still plenty of exceptional examples floating around. For instance, this 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is on Bring A Trailer’s auction block — and it’s got a couple of nice surprises hidden up its sleeve.

While the Wagoneer came with a standard V8 engine in its later years, this particular one has it even better, as the LS3 V8 under its hood is brand-spanking-new — making this particular wood-paneled SUV good for 430 horsepower. And that’s not all, it also boasts rebuilt Dana 44 axles with 4.10:1 Nitro gears and Detroit Truetrac differentials, making this retro ride an excellent off-roader, as well. It also features a nearly immaculate interior, so you can ride around on any terrain in comfort and style. As of this writing, the current bid is $35,000 — but, to be honest, we could see this impressive retro off-roader going for at least double that before the bidding ends.

Purchase: $35,000+
