Alongside the Land Rover D90 and the Ford Bronco, the Toyota Land Cruiser is among one of the most recognized and sought after vintage SUVs around. And with Spring in full swing, Summer right around the corner, and Fall within earshot, the outdoors are calling. So what better way to answer their beck and call than with this olive green ‘82 4×4 BJ40.
And while the date of this model may be 1982, this beauty received quite the overhaul prior to it hitting the auction block this June thanks to Legacy Overland. For example, under the hood is a rebuilt B-type diesel inline four-cylinder engine boasting a 2,977cc displacement. The clutch and transmission were also rebuilt and a new suspension was upgraded with a set of Old Man Emu components to give the Land Cruiser some extra backcountry agility. It can fit up to six with the help of a couple of rear benches, boasts Italian upholstery in the interior, features a Bluetooth radio with a vintage look, and LED lights. She also rides atop a set of BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires, and hosts front bucket seats for good measure as well.
