For most gearheads (at least the lifelong ones), there’s one car from our childhood we fell deeply in love with — pinning its poster to our wall, buying the Hot Wheels toy version, drawing in our notebooks, etc. If you were a kid in the 1980s, there’s a pretty good chance that car was a Lamborghini Countach. And now you can make those childhood dreams of driving off in one come true, courtesy of this Bring a Trailer auction.
Of course, this isn’t any “ordinary” Countach, it’s a 3.9L quad-cam V12-powered LP400 S in damn-near-immaculate condition and, more importantly, with only 19,000 kilometers (under 12,000 miles) on the odometer. Better still, it’s gone through two rounds of refurbishment and renovation — roughly a $25k investment — and runs like it’s practically brand new. It even has some quality-of-life upgrades, like a custom fire suppression system, overhauled brakes, and brand-spanking-new air conditioning. Of course, a car of this quality and pedigree comes with a high price tag — $370,000 is the bid as of this writing. But there are still a few days left if you’re brave and have extremely deep pockets.
