If you’ve had your fill of Ford’s Bronco snafus, we don’t blame you — it’s getting to be a bit excessive at this point. Thankfully, however, the vintage market is alive and well, meaning you can have your pick from any number of off-road-ready restomods. Just take this 1970 Bronco half-cab custom being sold on Bring a Trailer, for instance.
Finished in eye-catching Grabber Blue and modified with a host of top-shelf performance parts, it’s a far sight different than how it originally left the factory. Under the hood, it now hides a 351ci Ford V8 with a set of tube headers, some MSD ignition components, and a twin-fan aluminum radiator. Inside the cabin, too, you’ll find a markedly more refined setup; along with a pair of diamond-stitched bucket seats, it also features a modernized AC system and a Kenwood stereo. Of course, shiny new digs alone would do the Bronco a disservice, so it now sports a number of off-road-ready upgrades as well. In place of the stock suspension, it rides on coil springs, James Duff shock absorbers, and some aftermarket radius arms. To improve low-speed crawling, it’s ditched the column-mounted auto box in favor of a tunnel shifter and a pair of transfer case controls. Rolling on 17″ Black Moto Metal wheels wrapped in 37″ Patriot M/T tires, it even comes with a roof-mounted basket and a full interior roll cage. You can bid on it now at the listing below.
