Over the course of the past several decades, Jeep has developed a reputation of reliability and off-road dependability amongst devotees. And in terms of nostalgia, 1968 was definitely a good year for the automotive manufacturer, especially when it comes to one of their more proud possessions, the Wagoneer. Now, this ’68 4×4 was recently auctioned off to one lucky bidder at the Auctions America Ft. Lauderdale event.

In case you were wondering, this car has indeed been well maintained by a single owner over all those years, still hosting the original Buick 350-cid V-8 Dauntless engine, original interior and was recently repainted its original color. Additionally, the original sales invoice, owner’s manual, warranty booklet and window sticker are intact. The Wagoneer has also only logged 31K miles since leaving the lot in ’68 and now boasts a new fuel tank, fuel lines, new brakes, radiator and engine cooling fan. It’s both an antique and a reliable outdoor-friendly adventure mobile, making it quite the reward to whoever ended up paying the estimated $35,000 for the ride.
