Most custom car jobs are not tremendously extensive, with the builders often relying heavily on the original vehicle while adding a few new bells and whistles. The same cannot be said for this remarkable 1967 Chevrolet Nova, however. Dubbed ‘The Innovator,’ this complete overhaul required $800,000 worth of work (by hand, mind you) – and now it’s headed to auction.
The list of upgrades to this classic American muscle car is a long one, to be sure, but the biggest highlight is probably a dropped-in 700-horsepower Chevrolet Performance LSX 454ci small block engine, which also has a custom hydraulic crankshaft and CNC-ported LS7 heads. And that’s only the beginning. Other additions include custom front and rear fascias, a custom one-off interior, a cockpit full of custom gauges, digitally-drawn graphics over a Glacier White paint job, and a magnificent grille to match. You can bid on this car at Barrett-Jackson’s upcoming Northeast auction with no reserve.
