While its popularity has appeared to wane just a bit, the Ford Bronco is still one of the most popular SUVs, classic or otherwise, for customizers around the world. And that makes a lot of sense, as its timeless style lends itself to a lot of unique and impressive builds – like this 1966 example that’s headed to auction, courtesy of Mecum.
Originally an entry in the SEMA Battle of the Builders (in which it placed in the top 21), this gorgeous sport utility pickup was actually featured in the Novemeber 2016 issue of Truck Trend – lending credence to the overall quality of the build. And while the exterior is undeniably gorgeous, it’s got an equally beautiful 340-horsepower X 302 Ford Racing crate engine under the hood (it even has the same paint scheme). The built also includes a custom roll cage, Bilstein 7100 Series reservoir shocks, one-off instrument gauges, and a neat hideaway winch behind the front bumper. Whoever ponies up the dough to purchase this workhorse will be a lucky so-and-so indeed.
