Auction Block: 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep

The only thing cooler than an old-school Willys CJ Jeep is one that was actually used by the military. But those are extremely hard to come by nowadays. This 1947 Willys CJ2A, however, is the next best thing, as it was made to replicate a real mil-spec SUV. And it could be yours.

Yes, it would be cooler if this was a real Army Jeep, but that’s literally the only drawback, as this badass 4WD early-model SUV has actually benefitted from a full restoration, including a going-over of the 134ci “Go Devil” flathead four cylinder engine. It also features a new carburetor, starter, wiring harness, and 12-volt conversion. Plus, it’s done up in a period-appropriate semi-gloss Army Green that was actually purchased from a US military supplier. Best of all, this soft-top Jeep only has 23,034 on the odometer. True, it might be a false read, but that paired with the recent rebuild suggests that this vehicle should be running for a very long time. As of the time of this article, the standing bid is $12,000.

Purchase: $12,000
