Athletes Want To Be Musicians Series by ESPN
The folks over at ESPN did something a bit special for the upcoming ‘The Music Issue,’ recreating some of our favorite album covers of all time using our favorite athletes instead of the musicians.
It’s a known fact that every athlete wants to be a musician, as seen by the ever growing number of NBA players that look to transition into the rap world. Well ESPN has allowed some of the top athletes in sports to get their chance to shine in the music industry. Well, sort of. The collection sees Ryan Lochte as the baby on Nirvana’s Nevermind album, Allyson Felix as Beyonce, James Stewart as Rick James, and the trio of Trent Richardson, Marshawn Lynch and LaMarr Woodley as the legendary hip hop group Run-D.M.C. Our personal favorite from the collection is Josh Freeman as Michael Jackson.
