Snoozing under a camper shell can be a uniquely rewarding experience, but it has its limitations–namely, space and amenities. And slide-out campers are limited in their own way, as they are spacious but markedly more cumbersome. Now, the folks at AT Overland have bridged the gap between traditional truck-toppers and slide-in campers with their Tacoma Habitat Shell.

With an astounding deployment and stowage time of just 1 minute, the Tacoma has room for 2 with a built in mattress, a clothing gear loft, and 4 side pockets in the tent. Built from lightweight aluminum composites, the habitat weighs in at a grand total of 340lbs, so it wont impair your fuel efficiency. And a set of 6061 aluminum rods allows the cantilever bed to support a loading capacity of up to 600lbs. It also features a durable poly/cotton canvass made exclusively for AT by Nemo Equipment. The Tacoma Habitat Shell retails at a base price of $8,600, but there are numerous optional upgrades. [Purchase]
