As a tribute to Aston Martin’s 1-2 finish in the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans with its DBR1 race cars, the world-renowned British car manufacturer released a special edition Superleggera called the DBS 59. Based on the stunning DBS Superleggera, which is the vehicle with the most blistering speed in Aston Martin’s lineup, the DBS 59 is capable of scorching the road in style with 715 horsepower.
Although all the upgrades to the vehicle are visual, they collectively make for a pristine showstopper that’s just as fun to devour visually as it is to take for a spin. Painted in British racing green, the DBS 59 has several gloss carbon fiber parts on the exterior, including the roof, rear valance, spoiler, and hood louvers. Aston Martin used bronze accents in selects spots on the vehicle, such as the front grille, badging, brake calipers, and wheels, for a beautiful combination of colors. Take a look inside and you’ll find brown and black leather seats, British racing green trim, and fabric that emulates the same material used on the DBR1’s seat backs and door inserts. The DBS 59 also comes with a neat accessories package, including a rear compartment to hold special DBS 59 crash helmets, a bespoke two-piece luggage set, and a car cover for your specific model number. There will only be 24 examples built.
