Arctic Bath Floating Hotel in Sweden

For years, the Treehotel has specialized in building stunning rentals with the explicit purpose of housing those who want an uninterrupted experience of the the northern lights. This newest project by one of the architects responsible for the Treehotel, however, takes a radically different approach. Introducing the Arctic Bath Floating Hotel.

Located in the middle of a river in Sweden, this hotel is planned to function as a year-round getaway. More than just providing a stunning and uninterrupted view of the northern lights, the hotel is planned to feature plush accommodations, cold baths, saunas, spa treatments, shopping, a community lounge – and even a restaurant. As a kind of homage to the project that originally inspired it, the floating Arctic Bath boasts a facade that resembles a large nest. When it finally gets built sometime next year, we’re not sure what will be more impressive – the hotel, or the northern lights it was built to highlight.
