Canadian outdoor brand, Arc’teryx, has a reputation for being ahead of the game when it comes to gear innovation. And that’s a tough mantle to keep with so much up-and-coming competition. Luckily, they haven’t lost their touch with their latest (as well as lightest and toughest) release, the Alpha AR 35 Backpack.

Born out of a desire to create a lighter mountaineering pack without sacrificing on durability, this pack features a revolutionary material – called N315r LCP – that’s as ultralight as it is tough. Achieved by imbuing nylon with Liquid Crystal Polymers (LCP), this unique class of polyester offers impressive mechanical strength, temperature- and chemical-resistance, weatherproofing, and is even fire-retardant. On top of the new tech, this particular bag also features a 35L or 20L capacity, a more versatile androgynous hook system in place of traditional buckles, ice pick webbing, a padded waist belt, a hideaway security pocket for small items, and much more.
