As with any release of a new Apple product, there is a lot to cover with this new laptop. Usually it would be kind of difficult to choose between focusing on the new, sleek design of the computer, its blazing fast processing speeds, or the stunning new Retina display but this year they made it easy for us. Why? Well, the MacBook Pro 2016 is the first to include the new multi touch bar technology.
This new version of the computer replaces the static function keys that sit at the top of the keyboard with a more versatile multi-touch bar that allows users to access key tools more easily and intuitively. Depending on the program you are running – whether it be a web browser, a video editing program, or just a Pages document – the buttons on that bar will change with it and can be customized to your preference. What may be one of the most consequential parts of this change is the inclusion of Touch ID and Apple Pay. Now, instead of going through a long purchasing process, you can simply tap your finger on the bar to purchase something online.
That isn’t all this new laptop has to offer though. Another standout feature is its new thin design. How thin? Think 13% less volume than the MacBook Air. This shrinking in size, however, doesn’t bring any compromises in performance with it. Quite the opposite. Available with either an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor working alongside your choice of an Intel Iris or Radeon Pro graphics card, the new MacBook Pro is 130% faster when it comes to processing graphics, has faster storage, and is a equipped with a screen that has 25% more colors than sRGB and a 67% higher contrast ratio. We don’t know about you, but we’re feeling some serious laptop envy. Prices range from $1,500 to $2,800. [Purchase]
