Although the PS4 and Xbox One announcements have been some of the most exciting news to hit the tech scene in the past couple of days, Apple has also dropped a bomb on us unveiling their all new Mac Pro.
This beautiful new machine is housed in a 9.9 x 6.6 inch cylindrical volume that’s set to replace the standard computer casing that has been the norm for decades. Don’t let the fact that it’s 1/8 the volume of the current Mac Pro fool you. This beast of a machine is equipped with new generation Intel Xeon E5 processors allowing up to 12-core configurations, two AMD FirePro workstation-class GPUs, four channel ECC DDR3 memory running at 1866 MHz, six Thunderbolt 2 ports, PCI express based flash storage, and complete 4k video support. So what does all of this mean? It means the device will be more than twice as fast as the current Mac Pro. The 2013 Apple Mac Pro is will be made here in the states, and is expected to hit the retail scene during the 2013 holiday season.
