Apple’s relationship with Austin, Texas was already on the up and up, but thanks to the company’s most recent announcement regarding residency within the city, it’s clear that the tech giant is becoming an even more permanent fixture. Courtesy of a recent press release by the company, it’s just been confirmed that the brand’s futuristic campus will feature a slew of intriguing accommodations, including a large, 75,500-foot hotel for employees and business travelers.

The hotel, expected to open somewhat formally in 2022, will feature around 192 rooms and will play a larger role within the overall cost of the campus, which has been rumored to set Apple back a staggering $1,000,000,000. As part of the company’s new, cutting-edge Austin branch, it will serve as the primary quarter for over 15,000 employees and traveling officials, helping to curb the area’s housing development market and the inherent influx of citizens in coming years. Naturally, the hotel will cater to the company’s simplistic design philosophy, and place a heavy emphasis on technological integration, innovation, and utilization. Few details have been released, but you can head over to Apple’s website for a bit more clarity on the overarching project.
