When a brand has a name like Athletic Propulsion Labs, you can bet that they make some pretty dynamite running shoes. But even APL has never made a shoe as impressive as the new Streamline, the purest and most purpose-built running shoe the brand has ever cooked up.
The APL Streamline features the brand’s newest compound, APL FutureFoam, in the midsole and outsole. This material, which took two years of testing to develop, provides maximum cushioning along with exceptional compression, rebound, and energy return, and it’s been tuned specifically for running. The two-piece midsole sandwiches a slanted shank plate that propels the foot forward, while carved horizontal channels allow for smooth strides. The upper is another new compound, APL AeroLux, which combines a strong, lightweight, and breathable woven textile with thin targeted layers of support and vector flow lines that reduce drag. Yet another new innovation is found in the APL Soufflé sockliner, which provides further cushioning with the step-in feel of a recovery shoe.
