Anki Overdrive Fast & Furious Edition

If you haven’t already heard of it, Anki’s Overdrive is basically a high-tech smartphone and A.I. controlled slot car racing set with customizable tracks. For the record, they’re unbelievably cool for what they are. And they’re about to get a whole lot cooler with the brand’s upcoming release of a Fast & Furious Edition Overdrive set.

In a partnership with the film franchise, this newest version of Anki’s Overdrive is geared toward fans of all things Fast & Furious. This new set has all the same bells and whistles as the normal edition – WiFi connectivity, A.I. controlled opponents, customizable slot-free tracks, etc. – but it has the added benefit of featuring two of the coolest cars from the 8th film in the Fast & Furious franchise. Those cars are Hobbs’ International MXT armored truck and Dominic Torreto’s Ice Charger. They also come with two new virtual weapons: a rocket launcher and a grappling hook, respectively. Best of all, this $170 set is fully standalone – meaning you don’t have to own any other Overdrive editions in order to use this one on its own. You can sign up with the brand for release date details.

Purchase: $170
