American Sniper Trailer
The most lethal sniper in American military history, former U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle is the subject of American Sniper, Clint Eastwood’s new film set for a Christmas Day release this year. And if the movie is as seat-grippingly taut as this first trailer is, prepare for two hours of premium pins and needles.
Bradley Cooper stars as Kyle, and the clip shows him perched on a rooftop as a convoy makes its way down a war-ravaged street. But then, hold up… a woman and a boy are approaching the troops… and it looks like she’s carrying something… does he shoot? This moral and strategic dilemma interspersed with flashes of Kyle’s home life build up a thick wall of tension. Kyle’s life made headlines for more than just his skills and the body count he racked up though, as he (and then his estate) was sued by former wrestler/governor Jesse Ventura over an alleged incident in a bar, and Kyle was tragically shot to death on a gun range last year, allegedly by a Marine veteran suffering from PTSD.
