In an effort to mark the ten-year anniversary of the first Kindle E-Reader, Amazon is releasing a special edition iteration made for those bathtub readers or beach-bound browsers who love to escape into a healthy book every now and again. It’s the waterproof Kindle Oasis, their most advanced Kindle e-reader ever produced.

On top of the Oasis’ IPX8 waterproof rating, this newest version features their largest and highest-resolution Paperwhite display ever – all in a thin ergonomic design that enables you to dive into that favorite book headfirst for hours at a time. Its battery life is also measured in weeks and the Oasis boasts a 7-inch 300 PPI display that allows for 30 percent more words per page along with a uniform lighting display that creates zero glare even in bright sunlight. Along with a handful of additional features – including access to Audible’s monstrous selection of audiobooks – the new reader is available in either 8 GB and 32 GB sizes for your convenience and is available now for pre-order through the Amazon website.
