Amazon Fire TV Stick

Amazon continues its foray into the hardware business as the e-commerce giant goes after Google’s Chromecast with their Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Amazon isn’t letting the disappointing sales of their recent phone release (Amazon Fire Phone) get the best of them. The Fire TV Stick plugs into your television’s HDMI port, and lets you stream content from a wide array of services from Netflix and Hulu to Amazon’s own Prime Instant Video service. The device is packed with a dual-core processor, 8GB of storage and offers instant streaming without any buffering – a feature which could prove to be a big selling point if it works as advertised. The Fire TV Stick will carry a retail price of $39 when it releases on November 19th, but Prime members can get it for $19 if they pre-order in the next two days. [Purchase]
