Aluboo Bamboo Bicycles

Bamboo has become a popular construction choice for nearly everything within the design world, and it seems to be making its way into the world of cycling as well. Aluboo Bamboo Bicycles are the perfect blend of beautiful design and innovation.

So why bamboo you ask? Well for starters, bamboo is stronger by weight than steel, but that’s not the real key ingredient here. Bamboo is excellent at dampening high frequency vibrations, meaning you don’t have to feel every imperfection of the road you’re riding on. The technology has long been used with the brand’s Boo race bikes, and now they are looking to bring this same technology to daily cyclists with the Aluboo, an aluminum and bamboo constructed two wheeler perfect for bike commuters. Check out more details on the project at Kickstarter.
