Alpine ICE In-Cooler Speaker System

Best known for their high quality vehicular sound systems, Alpine has taken the technology for which they are famous and pared it into something a little bit out of their wheelhouse. Called the ICE, this boombox is actually what the brand calls an “In-Cooler Entertainment System.” And it looks as cool as it is.

Built into a high capacity 56 quart (that’s enough room for 72 twelve ounce cans) Grizzly cooler, this speaker box is fitted with a 90W x 2 amplifier, 180-watt waterproof component speakers (comprised of 5.25” High dynamic range woofers, 1” high output tweeters, and two 4” x 8” bass radiators) designed specifically for this device, and a clever air distribution system that ensures maximum sound output and performance without sacrificing storage space. It also functions with either Bluetooth connectivity or an auxiliary input, features a simple three-button control panel, and runs on power from either a car battery or any 12 volt external battery or generator capable of 15 Amps. It will even alert you when the battery is running low. This cooler-stereo hybrid retails for $1500. [Purchase]
