Over the past few months, California-based Alpha Motors has been relentlessly teasing us with announcements for its planned EV lineup, beginning back in December with the Ace coupe and continuing later on with the Jax CUV and Wolf truck. And while we’ve already seen some of the potential accessories that such vehicles will offer, as of yet there’s been nothing quite like this.
They’re calling it the ‘Wolf+ Cloudbreak,’ and it’s essentially an overlanding-ready variant of Alpha Motors’ compact electric pickup. Created in collaboration with German outdoor gear specialist Heimplanet, it features a specially engineered version of the Cloudbreak tent designed to turn the truck’s bed into a liveable space. In practice, this means that it secures to the Wolf+ via a set of stakes and guylines, automatically inflating into a free-standing geodesic structure with two separate access points. Offering both covered storage and sleeping accommodations as well as an open-air patio space, it’s easily one of the most thoughtfully designed truck-tent combos we’ve seen. Now if only Alpha would get a move on and begin production. There’s no word on cost yet beyond the $36,000 Wolf+ sticker price, but you can learn more at the link below.
