Alpha Industries prides itself on the preservation (and creation) of the clothing genre’s most nostalgic items. Many of its garments bridge the gap between historic, military-inspired models and modern fair, revitalizing historic variants for the contemporary buyer. Now, the brand has announced its FW20 “Operation Deep Freeze” Capsule — an elaborate selection of well-informed outerwear, pants, caps, and basics tailored to the utilitarian consumer.
To kick off the collection, Alpha has introduced a plethora of essential lightweight layering pieces, including torso-contrived fleece tops, leisurely bottoms, and stylish mid-weight jackets. The brand’s signature bomber returns just in time for the cold season, adopting exclusive colorways and fabrics alongside its larger Primaloft and Parka counterparts. Standout pieces include a heritage-inspired Flyers Helmet Rucksack, a shadowy, street-styled waist pouch, military/NASA headwear, ACU/Jungle Cargo pants, and a bevy of cleanly-tailored outerwear silhouettes, like the MA-1 Blood Chit jacket, ALS Utility Vest, and M-59 Fishtail. To ground the collection, Alpha has also included a series of basic garments. Simplified logo t-shirts, color-blocked sweatpants, a boxy zip hoodie, and various crewneck styles add to its allure. Keep your eyes on Alpha Industries’ website for the impending release.
