For the most part, almost all carbon fiber bikes are made completely outside of the U.S. Allied Cycle Works, however, is looking to shake up that dynamic with their Alfa Carbon Fiber Bicycle.

The whole idea behind making carbon fiber composite bikes here in the U.S. was to try and regain control over the production process. With more of a hands-on approach, Allied figured they’d have an easier time tweaking and improving their frames quickly. If the Alfa is any indication, it looks like they made the right call. Not only does this bike’s American made frame boast increased impact resistance and vibration dampening thanks to the use of Innegra fibers, but it can be customized to your specifications. Their ordering page allows you to get the exact color and treatment you want, as well as add on components like SRAM eTap shifters, and other higher end components. Not only has locating their production line in Little Rock, Arkansas made them a more nimble company – but being able to offer bespoke options has given them a competitive edge over larger brands.
