Since becoming its own standalone electric car brand back in 2017, Polestar has taken part in a variety of collaborative projects and products with other like-minded companies in the electric mobility space. And after previously joining forces with electric moto marque CAKE for a Polestar Edition Makka, Polestar has now linked up with boutique family-owned bicycle brand Allebike to deliver another all-Swedish collab in the form of the Alpha Polestar Edition Mountain Bike.
These limited-edition full-suspension mountain bikes are constructed around a bespoke, lightweight carbon fiber-reinforced polymer frame that was co-designed by Allebike and Polestar. Equipped with a 65-degree head tube angle, the bike’s Downcountry-style chassis also features all internally-routed cables and has been paired with an ultra-top-shelf set of Öhlins suspension fore and aft, with an RXF34 m.2 29 Air fork and a TTX1Air rear shock that afford 5.1” and 4.7” of travel, respectively.
Produced in just one frame size, the Polestar Edition Alpha also gets an all-new symmetrical rear swing arm design and a wireless dropper post, plus is available with optional wireless shifting. Other highlights include Vincents carbon fiber rims, carbon fiber Gemini Kästor handlebars, and a Shimano XTR M9100 groupset. Built individually by hand at Allebike’s headquarters in Alingsås, Sweden — just an hour away from Polestar’s HQ in Gothenburg — this limited-edition version of the Alpha is being offered in two color choices: Space (black) or Snow (white) color options.
The Allebike Alpha Polestar Edition Mountain Bikes are available now on both the Polestar and Allebike websites with pricing set at €9,500 (~$9,550).
