Alessi Toothpaste Buckle

The problem is so old it is almost a cliche; you can’t quite squeeze that last bit of toothpaste out of the tube despite the fact that there is most definitely more in there. Usually you have to resort to manually squeezing with your hands or simply wasting it, but now we finally have a worthwhile solution. Introducing the Alessi Toothpaste Buckle.

This incredibly simple tool for your dopp kit comes from designers Lorenza Bozzoli and Gabriele Chiave. Simply snake the toothpaste tube through the chrome-plated Zamak metal buckle and pull along the tail to squeeze out that hygienic goo. Thanks in large part to the fact that this tool came out of the brilliant Italian design firm Alessi, the buckle both looks and works great. No more having to pack along one of those juvenile looking toothpaste savers. Who would’ve thought that being thrifty would look so good?
