AL House in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Feast your eyes upon one of the most stunning homes in not only Brazil, but the entire world. Meet the AL Rio de Janeiro.
Nestled along the slopes of the Pedra da Gavea dome, this home is surrounded by lush vegetation that really gives the place a feeling of privacy. The residence was designed by the Brazilian team at Studio Arthur Casas for a single entrepreneur who was looking to get away from the cramped quarters of his apartment. The dwelling spans 5,200 square feet, features floor to ceiling windows and track-guided pocket doors running along the backside of the house, opening up to the infinity pool. The contemporary residence cost the owner back about $213 per square foot to build, which we’re sure he doesn’t regret one bit as he wakes up every morning with that ocean view.
