Airbnb x Pantone Outside In House

Feb 8, 2017

Category: Living

Just about a month ago Pantone continued on with what has to be one of our favorite traditions – naming the color of the year. For 2017? The choice was 15-0343 Greenery. As the name suggests, the color is lush and full of life, much like the flat Outside In House Airbnb and Pantone collaborated on in London.

Airbnb is no stranger to setting up wacky promotional rentals. For example, just last year they raffled off the opportunity to spend a night in a shark tank. More a terrarium than an apartment, the space features room for four guests (one queen sized bed, another two under an indoor tent), and hundreds of plants. The indoor greenhouse in the home doubles as a dining area, and adjacent to the larger room there is a couple sized bathtub set under towering foliage. It’s like a summer getaway in the middle of a cold city. To top it all off – the proceeds from Outside In, which was only available for a few nights, have gone off to the American Institute of Graphic Arts. A fun project for a good cause.
