Since 2003, adidas and Yohji Yamamoto have worked together to design some of the most innovative sneakers in streetwear. Over the years, it’s proven to be a remarkably successful partnership, and it’s made only more impressive when you consider that it predates the modern athleisure movement as we know it today.
For their latest drop, the pair have created a next-level running shoe dubbed the Y-3 Runner 4D IOW. Designed to let customers cater the look to their particular style, it comes with a pair of low-cut and mid-cut neoprene booties that can be changed out in a matter of seconds. Elsewhere, you’ll find a mix of the Three Stripes’ latest and greatest, including a latticed 4D midsole, some Continental outsole rubber, and a lightweight knit lining. Done up in black-on-black with minimal branding and maximal mesh coverage (save for a small window at the ball of the foot), they make for quite the pair of eye-catching kicks. You can buy the adidas Y-3 Runner 4D IOW for $500 at the link below.
