Building off the foundation laid by the German brand’s traditional running shoes, the adidas TERREX range consists of ruggedized, outdoor activewear products designed to deliver optimal performance and protection. Heading into the Fall of 2020, adidas has now unveiled the latest three additions to the TERREX lineup with the PROTOHYPE Series.
Developed in collaboration with several of today’s biggest names in trail running, the PROTOHYPE range is extremely performance-focused, with each of the three new shoes being specifically engineered with a particular application in mind. The first of the three is the TERREX TWO Ultra Parley, a long-distance trail-running shoe with grippy Continental rubber outsoles mated to high-energy return BOOST midsoles and breathable knitted uppers made from Parley ocean plastic. Next is the TERREX TWO Parley, a mid-to-long-range trail shoe that also sports Continental outsoles and Parley knit uppers, though has a wider toe-box, a socklike fit, and EVA midsoles with “lightstrike” technology. Last is the ultra-technical alpine trail-runner, the Agravic BOA, which affords the peak of stability, traction, protection, and precision fitment. Selling for $150, the Agravic BOA is available now, while the TERREX TWO Parley and TERREX TWO Ultra Parley go on sale later this month, priced at $170 and $200 respectively.
