Widely considered to be the most iconic soccer cleats of all time, Adidas’ Predator were first launched in 1994 and were the first football cleats to sport rubber sections on the top of the foot in a bid to bolster grip and control. 25 years on and the German sportswear giant is celebrating a quarter-century of the legendary men’s shoe with the release of a new pair of limited edition shoes built on the base of the Predator.
A Sockfit collared version of the Predator boasting the same silhouette and red, white, and black colorway as the original, these anniversary edition kicks feature a variety of nods to the initial model from ’94. Also offered in a cleated slip-on version, the shoe’s BYW midsoles, curved forefoot pads, and textured sides all pay homage to the original Predator Mania — the first soccer shoe to feature a split outsole. These limited-edition Adidas also get Premium K-Leather upper sections, as well as the German footwear outfit’s Primeknit collar lace closure system. Pricing for the Predator 19.1 25 Year is set at $200.
