adidas Pharrell Williams Tennis Hu

For the longest time a ‘shoe collaboration’ with a musician – or really anyone for that matter – meant a special color or branding on a shoe. That was about it. Nike changed that with Kanye’s Yeezy sneakers, and adidas is continuing to shake up the game with the new adidas Tennis Hu.

These are the first full on signature model from Pharrell Williams. That is to say – they’re a completely new silhouette. The textured one-piece upper features perforated stripes down the side as well as integrated wire lace eyelets and a foam heel pad along the back. Unlike most everything adidas puts out these days, the shoe skips on the boost midsole and knit upper and goes instead for a waffle-like outsole. When these kicks debut on May 6th, they’ll be available in either Forest Green (reminiscent of the iconic Stan Smith sneakers) or White and Yellow. Jump on them while you can, because you better believe these will go quickly.
