adidas Munchen Oktoberfest Sneakers

Bars and beer gardens are not safe places for new sneakers. Especially when everyone is celebrating Oktoberfest. Thankfully for us, adidas is rolling out a brand new Munchen Oktoberfest sneaker especially for the occasion.

These kicks are purpose built to repel puke and beer thanks to a ‘DPBR’ (durable puke and beer repellent) coating applied to the leather upper. But more than just being built to resist unfortunate spills of both kinds, these shoes were designed to blend in with the lederhosen and dirndl traditionally worn to these events. Adidas managed to strike this odd balance between modern comfort and traditional style by using a high quality leather upper and accenting along the side of the foot and heel. All of this means that owners of these German-made shoes will look good, avoid all kinds of bad puddles, and still have a solid pair of sneakers when the festivals end and the fall weather comes.
