After powerhouse footwear label Nike announced their Nike+ FuelBand SE earlier this week, the beloved 3-stripe label has debuted their latest initiative in the Adidas miCoach SMART RUN SmartWatch.
Operating independently from your smartphone, the miCoach SMART RUN is powered by Android 4.1.1, and has been outfitted with a 1.45″ full color touch screen to display all sorts of vital information while exercising. Shown in 184×184 pixel resolution, Adidas’ smart watch features a built-in accelerometer to help keep track of every step in your day, GPS to monitor not only distance but also running routes and track speed, and what would a “smart watch” be without a built-in wireless Bluetooth MP3 player for motivational music? The watch is extremely durable too, constructed from a magnesium backplate that has been mated to a soft, yet tough silicon wrist strap. Adidas will be releasing the miCoach SMART RUN on November 1st, with a retail price tag of $399. [Purchase]
