If you’re a fan of FIFA, you’ll be delighted to hear that you can combine two of your favorite passions — video games and soccer — to earn real-time rewards. The newly-devised Adidas GMR Performance Tracker, which utilizes a specialized Jacquard Tag to track your in-real-life (IRL) gameplay, will allow you to bolster your team inside of the EA Sports’ Mobile Ultimate Team soccer game by tracking kicks, shot power, distance, and speed while on-pitch. A small Google tag will be implemented alongside a selection of the brand’s specialized EVA insoles, allowing them to be placed in virtually any shoe. In turn, the tag will annotate your movements using a suite of specialized sensors, calling upon machine learning to transfer your IRL stats to Adidas’ GMR app. Head to the company’s website to pick up the $40 peripheral.
