Adidas Unleashes A DEMONSKIN Soccer Cleat With Dragon Scale Uppers

Back in early 2020 adidas unleashed its aggressive Predator 20 Mutator cleats: the culmination of years of R&D and data collection optimized through complex algorithms that ultimately resulted in what the German brand calls DEMONSKIN technology, i.e. small synthetic spikes around the front and side of the foot to improve striking. After receiving an extremely popular reception upon their initial release, adidas has now returned with a new limited edition version of this alien-looking shoe dubbed the Dragon Predator 20+ FG.

This new limited edition variant retains the original model’s laceless construction, stretchy Primeknit collar, DEMONSKIN rubber striking zone, and burnt titanium-style FG (Firm Ground) cleats, though the uppers are now comprised of leather given a Fusionskin treatment and debossed with a “Dragon Scales” pattern. And, while the athletic outfit’s iconic Triple Stripe logo remains running across the front of the foot, the color of the uppers has been changed to a deep red throughout, juxtaposed by black and neon orange MUTANTSKIN. Sold in an ornate presentation box, the limited edition adidas Dragon Predator 20+ FG is available now in limited quantities, with pricing set at $430.
