Adidas Originals consistently places itself at the forefront of footwear design by way of cutting-edge materials usage and eye-catching sneaker silhouettes. With each new release, the brand reasserts its creative prowess, dropping shoes the likes of which we’ve never before seen.
Hot on the heels of its last collaboration with Craig Green comes a pair that truly push the boundaries in delivering a personalized fit. They’re calling them the ZX 2K Phormar II in reference to their riff on the venerable ZK series. When it comes to the upper, the shoes feature a soft, collapsible material with few supportive provisions to be found. Held up by a set of tension cords on the eyestay, collar, and heel, the Phormar II promises an experience that’s completely based around your foot. But that’s not all — they also include a super-thin speed lacing system, enabling quick operation with super-secure fastening. Riding on a set of Boost cushioned midsoles with some semi-transparent details and ZX 2K outsoles, they make for a pair of shoes as comfortable as they are customizable. They’re expected to launch in February with a price of $360.
