Footwear giant Adidas is looking to once again push the boundaries in the world of soccer, building a laceless football cleat that promises better ball control for athletes.
Dubbed the ACE 16+ PureControl FG, these kicks have done away with the traditional laces. Instead the brand utilizes a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) cage to secure the middle of the foot, and while it was built for performance, it actually looks great from an aesthetic standpoint as well. The first colorway unveiled is draped in a green upper hit with contrasting red pull tabs and black three-stripe branding across the side panels. The cleats are currently available in extremely limited quantities through the brand’s website with a retail price of $300. [Purchase]
