A-Frame Re-Think Residence by BCA

This original A-frame had a cracked foundation, leaky roof and a dark layout that was less than ideal. But now when we look at it, dark and gloomy is replaced with awe and excitement, thanks to a redux by Bromley Caldari Architects.

This A-frame structure lives on Fire Island, and is now impressively lit due to new front windows which allow for beautiful views of the bay from everywhere in the house and skylights that illuminate the home at night. The original central staircase has been removed and replaced with a more impressive side-to-side promenade. Bromley Caldari also added a new master bedroom suite that has fogging sliding glass doors for privacy. The A-frame re-think is an imaginative bit of architecture that’s worth a nod.
