$45 Million Private Disney Castle in Connecticut
Growing up in southern California, we’ve had an affinity for Disneyland since our early childhood days. Well into our adult lives, we still love the Magic Kingdom. Apparently so does Christopher Mark, as he built what would appear to be a Disney-inspired castle all for himself.
Heir to an immense steel fortune, Mark forked over a mind boggling $45 million to have this extravagant residence constructed. The project was completed back in 2009, and includes 20-rooms (enough for all your friends and family to come stay) spanning over 22,00 square feet of living space. The castle is situated upon 75 acres in Woodstock, Connecticut, and even includes its own personal pond. The Disney theme doesn’t end on the outside either. While much of the interior doesn’t evoke the feeling of happiest place on Earth, there are some areas (take the dining room for instance – last photo below), that looks like it was taken right out of Pirates Of The Caribbean.
